Dean is always on the go and one of our most adventurous patients! Dean’s injury happened in 2003 and it has never held him back from being active.

Dean began coming to POA in 2017 after being unsatisfied with his previous care. He needed a prosthetic system that was durable and could withstand his very active lifestyle. Dean is so active, he walks to every doctor’s appointment, walks to the grocery store, and over to the laundromat! His previous technology and socket design was outdated and Dean needed specialized care to keep him moving!

Dean utilizes cutting edge prosthetic technology, including the Ottobock C-Leg 4. Because Dean is such an experienced user, he is an excellent tester for new innovated projects and prosthetic componentry. Recently, Dean was able to trial the Quattro knee from Proteor and gave excellent feedback on the performance and functionality.

Dean recently trialed the Fillauer AllPro foot and loved how it walked! With the Fillauer AllPro foot, Dean gets high flexibility and dynamic performance for his daily life. The foot accommodates to uneven ground easily and gives him the spring back he is looking for.​
